<span style="font-family: Pea Jiawei; font-size: medium;"><strong></strong></span> <strong style="font-family: 'Pea Jiawei'; font-size: large;">I can’t believe it’s October already! This year is just going by super fast. Have you decided what you want to be for Halloween yet?</strong><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Pea Jiawei; font-size: medium;"><strong>Next week is already time our yearly community fall festival. I will be a volunteer again this year. It’s mostly for the kids but it’s fun to see them in all their costumes and we will be showing them a great time. Lots of games and candy to be had.</strong></span><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Pea Jiawei; font-size: medium;">My friend Cheryl and I made these cute mini witch’s hats to attach to headbands so we can wear them at the festival.</span></strong><br />

I hope everyone had a nice summer, labor day and an easy back to school week. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">This summer, I have been very project focused. This year I was determined to go back to some old projects I never finished and complete them. So far, I've completed 4 projects that have been laying around for quite a while. (Yay!) And it was fun combining those old supplies with newer embellishments and paper. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Anyway, these cards were made using the WRMK Elegant paper collection. I also found some old Prima flowers from the Got Flowers? collection that were a perfect match for this paper. If you are a loyal reader you know that I love combining old with new and these little flowers are probably 5 years old now. Yet, I still have a ton of them and I don't want to get rid of them. So how many jars of old Prima flowers do you still have in your collection?</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglaO-jClLPoxpNB_VJBD2fjQNPzQzQUOOk4l_vq6urq6UWow0wcmK2bL3__4v7oxK172TqDRofyYCddnjv1fZWcVEKWu5djudd2ALAagKnRr-Q4WvIkPRem__c4toeliV7gj7wMPlcUnY/s1600/CIMG3255.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="258" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglaO-jClLPoxpNB_VJBD2fjQNPzQzQUOOk4l_vq6urq6UWow0wcmK2bL3__4v7oxK172TqDRofyYCddnjv1fZWcVEKWu5djudd2ALAagKnRr-Q4WvIkPRem__c4toeliV7gj7wMPlcUnY/s400/CIMG3255.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
T<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">he little pearls are actually made using the Viva Decor Pearl pen in Sunny Yellow. The chipboard tag is also old and unknown now. The stamps are KI Memories and the Hello sticker font is also from an old card making kit by Lisa Bearnson and Becky Higgings. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I've been working on busting through my stash lately so you will see more projects that combine old and new soon. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Are there any supplies you own that aren't "in style" anymore but you just can't seem to get rid of it? I have a bunch, like the foam stamps. I still love the designs but just don't think to use them. Please share some of your tips for using up your stash with me. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">All I ever see in scrapbooking and cardmaking blogs is new, new, new. And I can no longer justify (to myself) purchasing the huge amounts of scrapbooking supplies I used to. It just seems like such a waste sometimes.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So, until next time...happy stash-busting!</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">This saddens me because it was the only scrapbook subscription I had left. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I let my Creating Keepsakes subscription lapse back in February because I was irritated by all their cutbacks and lack of inspiring new ideas. It just wasn't worth the money anymore. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">For more information, you can visit <a href="http://www.scrapbookupdate.com/2012/05/10/meredith-corp-announces-scrapbooks-etc-magazine-to-cease-publication/" target="_blank">this article </a>on Scrapbook Update. They also have <a href="http://www.scrapbookupdate.com/2012/05/11/the-long-slow-death-of-print-publishing/" target="_blank">another article </a>about the print industry and how it's affecting the scrapbooking and crafting magazines.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I left this comment to express how I feel about this news:</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="background-color: #f3f3f3; color: #222222; font-family: 'Palatino Linotype', 'Book Antiqua', Palatino, serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-right: 5px; margin-top: 10px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">
They say the cost of publishing is too much, but I just don’t see it. I would think publishing a scrapbooking magazine is way cheaper than it is for lots of other magazines in the market. I mean, aren’t they just taking pictures of pages that are submitted to them? It’s not like they have to find an exotic location, a model/s and a first rate photographer (plus assistants and other artists) like fashion and beauty magazines do. They also don’t have top notch writers writing in depth articles. Most have very little creative writing in them. It’s mostly instructional writing which is pretty easy.<br />And anything they use to create for an editorial is usually donated by manufacturers.</div>
<div style="background-color: #f3f3f3; color: #222222; font-family: 'Palatino Linotype', 'Book Antiqua', Palatino, serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-right: 5px; margin-top: 10px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">
Why can’t they continue to publish digitally? Scrapbooks and Cards Today does it and it’s free!<br />I’m sad to see my favorite scrap magazine shut down but I’m mad at them for not trying harder even if just out of loyalty to its many readers. It’s easy for a big CEO to bring down the ax but they forget that it leaves a sour taste in all our mouths and that taste never goes away.</div>
<div style="background-color: #f3f3f3; color: #222222; font-family: 'Palatino Linotype', 'Book Antiqua', Palatino, serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-right: 5px; margin-top: 10px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">
What do I care about any new publications they release now? (Insert expletive here) them! From now on I’ll use my dollars towards new supplies. I was also burned by Scrapbook Answers, Simple Scrapbooks, PaperKuts, Memory Makers and now, Scraps Etc. But that’s it, I’m done! No more magazines for me.</div>
<span style="font-size: large;">So, how does this news affect you? Are you a current subscriber to Scrapbooks Etc.?</span><br />

It’s time to have some fun again. Yeah! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'A Little Pot'; font-size: large;">Oh Lordy! How did this happen? Again!! My scrap room is a total disaster right now after all the Christmas crafting I did. Just look…</span><br />
<div align="center">
<span style="font-family: 'A Little Pot'; font-size: medium;"><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-m5DTm5zjy4E/Tv_t5CrzN3I/AAAAAAAAAmg/BHcfdF6foSY/s1600-h/CIMG2592%25255B8%25255D.jpg"><img alt="CIMG2592" height="355" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-zrWc35gJ2Wo/Tv_t5Vq95wI/AAAAAAAAAmk/RLTLK4UGvoo/CIMG2592_thumb%25255B5%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="display: inline;" title="CIMG2592" width="440" /></a><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-rKRW2otdoRE/Tv_t5_J-qHI/AAAAAAAAAms/bKD0x5ldNqo/s1600-h/CIMG2591%25255B9%25255D.jpg"><img alt="CIMG2591" height="363" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-nbg5lT2GOsY/Tv_t58FBXXI/AAAAAAAAAm0/tnQQoyoWq7w/CIMG2591_thumb%25255B6%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="display: inline;" title="CIMG2591" width="446" /></a></span></div>
<span style="font-family: 'A Little Pot'; font-size: large;">I don’t understand how I can make such a mess when I work on Christmas crafts. Every year I do the same thing. I pull out my Christmas crate and just keep digging things out. Nothing goes back in – just out. So, it’s a new year and now, I need to dig in and do some reorganizing of this epic mess. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'A Little Pot'; font-size: large;">For some reason the new year always makes me want to reorganize and just get rid of stuff. Everywhere. Don’t know why that is. I guess I just like to de-clutter and start the year off fresh. Today, I already got rid of some unused things from my pantry and did some deep cleaning. Now, I’m going to tackle this scrap mess. Wish me luck!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'A Little Pot'; font-size: large;">So how do you typically begin the new year?</span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-family: 'Pea Carmen';"><strong>I made these with the Cricut Alphabet font (love this font!) and Winter Frolic for the snowman and ornament shapes. I’m back and I have some quick and easy Christmas card ideas you can make by this weekend! Yes you can do this!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">One uses the Cricut, the second uses stamping and the third one uses stickers. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">The first simple card idea involves the Cricut. </span><br />
<a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-EfogsImML9o/Tuk6FtE3weI/AAAAAAAAAhw/7_KU3pW5Wmg/s1600-h/CIMG2580%25255B7%25255D.jpg"><img alt="CIMG2580" border="0" height="334" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-zaNEjarYhjA/Tuk6F-X7epI/AAAAAAAAAh0/5TKQnMqNqEA/CIMG2580_thumb%25255B4%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="CIMG2580" width="238" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: small;">I</span><span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">n order to make these cards fast it’s best to use premade blank cards. You can get them at Michaels with your 40% off coupon. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">First, find some holiday word art from any cartridge. Here I’m using Joys of the Season from the Wrap It Up cartridge. Use fancy paper like foiled or glittered paper so it looks special. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">Then find a background diecut and cut it so it fits your card. (I used the Spring Holiday Cards cart for this background). Emboss it with an embossing folder. Ink your embossed diecut and adhere it to your card. You can pop dot it if you wish to create a 3D effect. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">Then add another background diecut for your word art and cut it to size. I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels One die for this one. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">Add your word art and tie a little twine if you wish to add a cute embellishment. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">Now, you can leave it like this or mist it with some clear shimmer spray to give the entire card a little sparkle. And voila, you are done! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">The second card was created with one stamp and fancy foiled paper.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: small;"><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-ik_Kqy08HAE/Tuk6GQG3cRI/AAAAAAAAAiA/SI3ACqL5p1M/s1600-h/CIMG2588%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img alt="CIMG2588" border="0" height="281" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-DV7PAoWZujo/Tuk6GjU7TqI/AAAAAAAAAiI/Qk5Z29dEBGk/CIMG2588_thumb%25255B2%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="CIMG2588" width="358" /></a></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">Cut your fancy patterned paper to fit card. Trim with matching ric rac ribbon. Stamp your image and you can either emboss or glitter it for a little shine. Use a corner punch and that’s it! Another quick and easy card. Stamps are from $1 Micheals bin – ornaments and Close to My Heart –Joy. I’ve had these for a few years so I don’t know if they are still available. The paper is from Hobby Lobby – I got these on clearance last year. May still be around this year.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">The final card is super simple also and uses stickers. </span><br />
<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/--yiRpmonqmA/Tuk6HKTOGBI/AAAAAAAAAiQ/RPCC_X2jRr4/s1600-h/CIMG2583%25255B6%25255D.jpg"><img alt="CIMG2583" border="0" height="269" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-rqHsAL1eFW0/Tuk6HcMAjII/AAAAAAAAAiY/BoWYgHfapcs/CIMG2583_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="CIMG2583" width="516" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">These cute stickers I picked up at Michael’s for 79 cents! They are epoxy holographic stickers. How cute is this! All I did here was cut a couple of pieces of paper and adhered them together and then wrapped the ribbon around it. I created the knot on the ribbon before I adhered it to the card. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">Then I used my 1 1/2 inch scalloped punch and my 1 inch round punch. Layered the punches together and attached the stickers. For the greeting I used two stamps. A snowflake stamp with a light colored ink and then stamped the greeting over that. No embossing or anything fancy. These cards are done!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">I hope these samples help you get those cards completed. Remember to keep the cards simple and without too many 3D embellishments so they go through the mail intact. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Bliss; font-size: large;">Stay tuned as I’ll be posting my holiday tags in the next few days. Super simple and super cute also.</span><br />

Today I wanted to announce that I went ahead and changed this blog’s (URL) address to <a href="http://scrapbites.blogspot.com">http://scrapbites.blogspot.com</a>. Please note the change in your readers (<u>http://ohkianex.blogspot.com</u> is <font color="#4f4f4f"><u>NO</u> </font>longer active). </font></p> <p><font size="5" face="A Little Pot">This change not only better reflects the content of the blog but also reflects the title. When I started this blog, I didn’t plan on focusing so much on my crafting and yet, it took over. Thanks for sticking with me even though I’m not a regular poster. </font></p> <p><font size="5" face="A Little Pot">Now, on to today’s DIY project. Deco Tape. I’ve seen some bloggers create their own out of masking tape but mine is made from this stuff called Hinging tape by Lineco.<img title="Lineco l5330754 Self Adh Hingng Tape 7/8x150ft" alt="Lineco l5330754 Self Adh Hingng Tape 7/8x150ft" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/public/0PnOwivy41NPW9b1XG0JCoWBOWx1pKPJ5286C2ZKgAoBkXVnWhJLcTriZE5g9V0wmwGJQICp6yO3cd64S2NxjBDjm7_VYNjQ-xUkeKES1wcqnw_1CngUqNpzIu9KhDC-EKjwMVPw5KWBrRcH_0izF50vDB8" width="180" height="180"> I found it at Hobby Lobby on clearance but I believe it’s available online. Anyway, it’s got a nice fabric-ky texture and is slightly transparent. And you get 150 ft or 50 yards of the stuff. It’s also easy to tear and acid-free! So feel free to use in your scrapbooks.</font></p> <p><font size="5" face="A Little Pot">Okay, so on to my finished deco tape. I colored them with permanent markers (Bics and Sharpies) and stamped them with ink and white paint. </font></p> <p><font size="5" face="A Little Pot"><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-fqZW3B7ct-U/TrRnaFQmaDI/AAAAAAAAAgU/WHvfWtAdRj0/s1600-h/CIMG2504%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="CIMG2504" border="0" alt="CIMG2504" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-Y79OcDZCrj4/TrRnaQEZOeI/AAAAAAAAAgc/8jhbPbrzUko/CIMG2504_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="276" height="217"></a><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-yUmLu16qr0k/TrRnaiLy9nI/AAAAAAAAAgk/w25C4hH2ELQ/s1600-h/CIMG2501%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="CIMG2501" border="0" alt="CIMG2501" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-jf6hYOppyZs/TrRna_p4XJI/AAAAAAAAAgs/EWNPcjtn6Lo/CIMG2501_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="277" height="218"></a><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-nBsJEcK-oH8/TrRnbehqy0I/AAAAAAAAAg0/Pcn9u3DHtVc/s1600-h/CIMG2498%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="CIMG2498" border="0" alt="CIMG2498" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-adg9jIsLbhc/TrRnb-o_npI/AAAAAAAAAg8/9szUssIKlBQ/CIMG2498_thumb%25255B2%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="272" height="222"></a><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-VuckmEPeVe8/TrRncoIRQeI/AAAAAAAAAhE/Z1EhUOXxsqs/s1600-h/CIMG2506%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="CIMG2506" border="0" alt="CIMG2506" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-VyVhXEMgJnU/TrRnc3hc0jI/AAAAAAAAAhM/uKhmN7E5mek/CIMG2506_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="283" height="223"></a></font></p> <p><font size="5" face="A Little Pot">Now, I have a nice assortment of tapes to use and without having to pay $8 a roll for the stuff. Frame<span style="font-family: Pea Beth; font-size: small;">Today I wanted to share a cute Halloween frame I made. </span><br />
<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-dCZI8ldAxAo/Tp3QyPl-5OI/AAAAAAAAAfc/l0FWiO3ludU/s1600-h/CIMG2541%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><span style="font-family: Pea Beth; font-size: small;"><img align="left" alt="CIMG2541" height="258" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-Iua51sjq95U/Tp3QyXiQLyI/AAAAAAAAAfk/M8eKjs09A_o/CIMG2541_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="display: inline; float: left;" title="CIMG2541" width="261" /></span></a><br />
<span style="font-family: Pea Beth; font-size: small;">This little art piece was based on a project I learned about at the </span><a href="http://thelittlebluehouseblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/july-scrapstasher-projects-miss-tracys.html"><span style="font-family: Pea Beth; font-size: small;">Little Blue House</span></a><span style="font-family: Pea Beth; font-size: small;">, the float art frames. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Pea Beth; font-size: small;">My twist was that I used tiny beads(not micro) instead of buttons an I used a Cricut die cut for the tree and grass. You can use the die cut just as a guideline for your buttons or beads but I wanted to keep the tree base so I attached the die cut to the glass. Then I adhered the beads on top with Glossy Accents.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Pea Beth; font-size: small;">Here’s a close- up of the beads:</span><br />
<div align="center">
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-Xm2FmveyCVs/Tp3Qy491w8I/AAAAAAAAAfs/aQ_FQAEris8/s1600-h/CIMG2542%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img alt="CIMG2542" height="250" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-jQ3ZJmsdhc4/Tp3QzXKNG9I/AAAAAAAAAf0/MosrJS0NgfA/CIMG2542_thumb%25255B2%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="display: inline;" title="CIMG2542" width="269" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Pea Beth; font-size: small;">Well, I loved making that one so much that I made another on but used bits of paper to fill in the larger frame.</span><br />
<div align="center">
<a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-5sf4fW7LvBY/Tp3Qzn3nbPI/AAAAAAAAAf8/aaBZQ2TrWoM/s1600-h/CIMG2540%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img alt="CIMG2540" height="335" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-eXvxx_OkAFY/Tp3Qz_CqVbI/AAAAAAAAAgA/y2IeyyJnlmw/CIMG2540_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="display: inline;" title="CIMG2540" width="289" /></a></div>
<div align="left">
<span style="font-family: Pea Beth; font-size: small;">Try these and come up with your own artwork. Just think of the possibilities for Christmas. Gift giving ideas too!</span></div>
<div align="left">
<span style="font-family: Pea Beth; font-size: small;">Thanks for stopping by!</span></div>

Word Blocks<span style="font-family: 'Pea Nicki'; font-size: medium;"><strong>Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful summer and that you are already enjoying the cool fall days. My summer was pretty uneventful. It was just too freakin’ hot here to do anything. I’m not a big fan of summer so I stay indoors a lot. </strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Pea Nicki'; font-size: medium;"><strong>And with that, I caught a horrible stomach flu that kept me mostly in bed for 2 weeks. So, I didn’t get a chance to add anything nor was I in the mood to complete my July minibook. Oh well, I’ll save it for next year. </strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Pea Nicki'; font-size: medium;"><strong>Now, on to my little project. I made the fall tags with my Cricut. Keep in mind that I’m still using the same blocks I created for my </strong></span><a href="http://ohkianex.blogspot.com/2011/03/happy-spring-altered-word-blocks.html"><span style="font-family: 'Pea Nicki'; font-size: medium;"><strong>Spring blocks</strong></span></a><span style="font-family: 'Pea Nicki'; font-size: medium;"><strong>. I also created summer blocks but never got around to posting because of my illness. But here’s a quick picture of them:</strong></span><br />
<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-dGgRgWQOemc/To9y6SHT_MI/AAAAAAAAAfM/aOH2669eD2k/s1600-h/2011%252520-%252520June%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img alt="2011 - June" border="0" height="324" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-Pvj78nsJIGo/To9y6xkPXGI/AAAAAAAAAfQ/vLa_uXP3650/2011%252520-%252520June_thumb%25255B2%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border: 0px currentColor; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="2011 - June" width="254" /></a><span style="font-family: 'Pea Nicki'; font-size: medium;"><strong>Those were not done with the Cricut. I used chipboard letters and the new 3 in 1 Stampin Up flower punch and some stickers. The pennant shape I cut out by hand. </strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: 'Pea Nicki'; font-size: medium;"><strong>Now back to the fall blocks. These were done with the All About Fall cartridge to cut out the leaf and pumpkin shapes. Also used the Gypsy font but I can’t remember which one was the “hello” font. Then I used a few miscellaneous stickers and flowers from my stash and DCWV paper which has a foiling treatment on some of the leaves. The texture on the pumpkin was created using my Fiskars texture plates with the Cuttlebug. I like to use these plates when I don’t want a deep impression. Then, I used lots of glitter for the red letters even though it doesn’t show much on the pictures. No video this time. I forgot to set it up until it was too late.</strong></span> <br />

<span style="font-family: 'Pea Nicki'; font-size: medium;"><strong>Well, that’s all for now. I will be posting a cute Halloween frame in the next week. Now, I need to catch with everyone’s blogs and projects. </strong></span><br />

Hope you are enjoying the remainder of your weekend. This weekend I went to two crops. How productive of me, right? Well, so-so productive anyway. I really didn’t plan very well for my crops so I just took some page kits and slapped them together. I didn’t even have pictures for some of them and they all need some final touchups. (sigh!)</strong></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Pea Nicki; font-size: x-large;"><strong> </strong></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Pea Nicki; font-size: x-large;"><strong>I don’t know if I’ll buy page kits ever again. Don’t get me wrong, they are great designs and make for fast pages, but for me it‘s really hard to conform my pictures to the page kits. So, I usually end up changing the original intended design which really doesn’t save me much time. Maybe I’ll post a couple of them once I get the final touches done. Do you use any page kits? I would love to know how you work with them.</strong></span></div><div align="center"><br />
</div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Pea Nicki; font-size: x-large;"><strong>Ok, so now to my original topic – Mother’s Day Cards! This year I used my Cricut & Gypsy (you don’t need the gypsy to create these cards) to design my card and I have to say I am really pleased with the results. </strong></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Pea Nicki; font-size: x-large;"><strong>Here is the first color way. </strong></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size: x-large;"> </span><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_rXjO9hyxVpE/Tb3WN4q9mCI/AAAAAAAAAec/oWUQWShbX6A/s1600-h/CIMG2926%5B6%5D.jpg"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><img alt="CIMG2926" height="397" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_rXjO9hyxVpE/Tb3WOEP6ipI/AAAAAAAAAeg/oRslku9_vwQ/CIMG2926_thumb%5B3%5D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="display: inline;" title="CIMG2926" width="404" /></span></a></div><div align="center"><strong><span style="font-family: Pea Nicki; font-size: x-large;">The card itself and the flower were from Sentimentals; the topper base and shadow were from Spring Holiday Cards; the label from Tags, Bags, Boxes. Other supplies used were My Minds Eye paper, Stickles glitter, 3Birds letter rubons, Coredinations cardstock which I embossed with the Damask style Cuttlebug folder, misc cardstock, ribbon and pearls. </span></strong></div><div align="center"><br />
</div><div align="center"><strong><span style="font-family: Pea Nicki; font-size: x-large;">Now, here’s a rookie mistake I made and I about kicked myself for it. <span style="background-color: #ffc000;">If anything else please remember this from this post:</span> When you make a card on the Cricut, always – always cut the envelope (using the <u>fit to</u> <u>page</u> feature) first!! This way you know what size card you need to make. </span></strong></div><div align="center"><br />
</div><div align="center"><strong><span style="font-family: Pea Nicki; font-size: x-large;">I was too busy trying to fit two cards on 12 x 12 mat that I didn’t even consider the envelope. So, now I had a card but the envelope that goes with it won’t work. Ugh! Well, I had no choice but to make an envelope using the Martha Steward Scoreboard and I loved, loved,loved the results! </span></strong></div><div align="center"><br />
</div><div align="center"><strong><span style="font-family: Pea Nicki; font-size: x-large;">My card was approx. 5.12” x 5.5” and I tried the measurements for the 6X6 card listed on the board, but that was just too large. And after some adjustments I was able to make the perfect envelope. </span></strong></div><div align="center"><strong><span style="font-family: Pea Nicki; font-size: x-large;">Measurements used to create a square envelope for a 5.5 X 5.5 card:</span></strong></div><ol><li><div align="center"><strong><span style="font-family: Pea Nicki; font-size: x-large;">Cardstock 10 x 10.</span></strong></div></li>

I hope your week has been going well. I was a little under the weather over the past week, but am lots better now.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">So now I need to catch up on some blogs, some crafting and on getting back to replying to your wonderful comments. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Today, I’m sharing a welcome baby card I made for my neighbors who had a new baby girl last week. I made this card with my Cricut using Wrap It Up. I just love that baby carriage image. </span><br />
<a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_rXjO9hyxVpE/Ta9qDYC6eOI/AAAAAAAAAc8/S0X8qicpWao/s1600-h/CIMG2886%5B8%5D.jpg"><img alt="CIMG2886" border="0" height="388" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_rXjO9hyxVpE/Ta9qDu82OcI/AAAAAAAAAdA/Ec2DD10nbpE/CIMG2886_thumb%5B5%5D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="CIMG2886" width="319" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: A Little Pot;">Here’s a better shot of the glitter. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">So, over the weekend I decided to do some etching on my Pyrex casserole dishes. I’ve seen it done so many times before all over the internet and it didn’t seem that difficult to do. Why not try it?</span><br />
<span style="font-family: A Little Pot;"><span style="font-size: large;">And here’s my results</span>:</span><br />
<a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_rXjO9hyxVpE/Ta9qEWd4G8I/AAAAAAAAAdM/9fvv7ZRb_dk/s1600-h/CIMG2962%5B6%5D.jpg"><img alt="CIMG2962" border="0" height="333" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_rXjO9hyxVpE/Ta9qEj3QTdI/AAAAAAAAAdQ/qjZ-Hdnn-AM/CIMG2962_thumb%5B3%5D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="CIMG2962" width="478" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Pretty cool, huh? I was totally pleased with the results. I could’ve gone with a monogram or name but I wanted something more decorative. This image is from the Cindy Loo cartridge and it also has a border image that I manipulated on my Gypsy to fit my dishes.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">So here’s my process for etching these dishes.</span><br />

<ol><li><span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Select image and cut to size on vinyl with your Cricut.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Use transfer tape to remove image from vinyl backing.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Transfer image to glass dish. (Oh, and clean your dish well with alcohol or something)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Weed the parts of the image you want to etch. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Burnish the image well to remove any air bubbles from the edges.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Carefully, apply etching cream with a brush (I applied it pretty thickly) and let set for 20-30 minutes. (<span style="font-family: A Little Pot;">Oops! </span>No Pics for the rest of instructions)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Wipe excess etching cream from image and then rinse well and <u>quickly</u>. You don’t want any etching cream to etch any other part of your dish.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Ta da! Now you have a beautiful etched dish! Make something yummy and enjoy!</span></li>
</ol><span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Well that’s all the crafty bits I have for you today. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: A Little Pot; font-size: large;">Now, I need to work on those Mother’s day cards I haven’t had a chance to finish. I’m also really excited for the new season of Doctor Who on BBC America this Saturday. Yay! Finally!</span><br />

Everyone has such great blogs and creative talent.<br />
I'm still trying to get to everyone so don't fret if you haven't heard from me yet. Has anyone visted all the links yet? Congratulations if you have!<br />
And a warm welcome to all my new followers! Yay! I'm going to have to do something special when I hit 100 followers. <br />
<br />
So today, I have a couple more cards to share. These were made with a K&Co card kit I've had for a while now however,I updated them with the doily and some baker's twine. I think they are adorable and a couple of my favorites from my card making marathon. <br />
<br />
What do you think? Did I update them enough?<br />

Funny thing is she just found me and already thought my blog was worthy of an award. Wow! That's such a compliment. Thanks so much Sandy!</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggY_1XnUt4VpSuRXl-5g0YmnUb5Mb7CS2NFXGZkDvx-vDgaft13WJ2tdt8HSG6Tlgyyx3ZCEGyR6LhHwQaH4MyPoc69ZbwV2R7MuDywdP_zOKAgIdZxhdlfLJEHS4wsQ9lXHADO8IhPLE/s1600/The+Versatile+Blogger+Award.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggY_1XnUt4VpSuRXl-5g0YmnUb5Mb7CS2NFXGZkDvx-vDgaft13WJ2tdt8HSG6Tlgyyx3ZCEGyR6LhHwQaH4MyPoc69ZbwV2R7MuDywdP_zOKAgIdZxhdlfLJEHS4wsQ9lXHADO8IhPLE/s1600/The+Versatile+Blogger+Award.bmp" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">So for this award I have to follow these rules:</div><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">Thank the person who sent it to you </div><div style="text-align: center;">Tell Us 7 things about yourself </div><div style="text-align: center;">Send/Reward this to 15 bloggers </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Okay so here goes, 7 things about me. </div><ol><li><div style="text-align: left;">I've been scrapping since 1998. However, I have been fascinated by pretty papers, stickers, stamps, coloring and art ever since I was a kid.</div></li>
<li><div style="text-align: left;">I'm very practical. If it doesn't make sense or is uncomfortable to me, then I won't do it. Such as wearing heels. I'll be an old lady still wearing sneakers.</div></li>
<li><div style="text-align: left;">I'm a total geek wannabe. I love being around very intelligent people. I also love geeky shows like Big Bang Theory and Dr. Who.</div></li>
<li><div style="text-align: left;">I don't have children so it's just me, my DH and my pup Xena. It's not that we can't; it's just another practical decision.</div></li>
<li><div style="text-align: left;">I'm a blog addict. I think I follow over two hundred blogs via my reader, my favorites, my blog and Flud. So don't feel bad if you are not listed on my site because I'm still following you somewhere. </div></li>
<li><div style="text-align: left;">When I'm interested in learning something, I want to absorb everything I can about that subject. Like scrapbooking; I may just be a walking encyclopedia on the subject. Go ahead, ask me anything.</div></li>
<li><div style="text-align: left;">I am awesome at caulking. Don't know why or how it happened but let me tell you, I can make the neatest, smoothest caulking line with just my finger. LOL!</div></li>
</ol><div style="text-align: left;">So now, I want to award some awesome bloggers that I follow so stop by and visit them:</div><div style="text-align: left;"></div><div></div><ol><li><a href="http://bugjunkie.blogspot.com/">Bug Junkie</a></li>

</ol> Whew! That was a lot of work! <br />
<br />
So, now I want to update you as to what I'm working on. I've been making a bunch of cards for a couple of ladies that wanted to by them by the bunch. So I'm having my own Card-a-palooza! Yeah! Here's a sneak peek at the ones I've already done. I'll share more individual pics in the future so stay tuned. These were made using the cricut, some scraps, old and new supplies, premade card blanks, etc. Basically, a little bit of everything. Nothing better for making a dent in your stash. <br />

I hope you are having some nice weather on you side of the world. We are having some very nice weather for a change. It hasn't rained in a while but at least our flowers are starting to bloom and our seeds are beginning to sprout.<br />
<img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5587783163793899218" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx-50EpFce4H3n-cbS-H95Q5H_38SnKfOfpR9gipxNoEGrVWtOzgDN8JFOcXl-7zuQs4_V1E6_WJCUiOVgm-7WxN5-_K0eBDVXLIoGEaigFMfqrTFGaPxCYa992rKWIbWT27ct-Bwb5bY/s400/CIMG2818.JPG" style="cursor: hand; display: block; height: 284px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 422px;" /><br />
The nice weather gave me an itch to create something for our home so I decided I wanted to make some word blocks. I was originally inspired by the pretty blocks over at the <a href="http://thelittlebluehouseblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/welcome-to-little-blue-house-blog.html">The Little Blue House. </a> Their trick is to make seasonless blocks and then make decorated tags for each season. <br />
<br />
This time I made my own tags but I will sign up for future classes with them to make their tags and learn new techniques. <br />
<br />
For this project I used DCWV and SEI papers, Spellbinders and Tim Holtz dies, some old KI Memories chipboard letters (I'm sure some of you still have these also), Twinery twine and a canvas butterfly. I made the flowers and the adorable Kite diecut is by 3Birds - so are the other embellishments. <br />
<br />
So here is a video of my process. Enjoy!<br />

I was given a blog award by Jackie at <a href="http://scrappinglatina.blogspot.com/">Scrapping Latina</a>! Thanks so much Jackie! I was super surprised since I am by no means a big wig in the blogging world. But I think this award will motivate me to post more and share more with other crafty bloggers.<br /><br />The Liebster Blog award is given to bring new blogs to light. It's a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise be seen or ones you want to share with others.<br /><br />As a recipient you must share the love and pay it forward by:<br />1. Creating a post where you blog about the Liebster award & reveal your 3-5 blog picks<br />2. Let them know you chose them<br />3. Copy & paste the blog award on your blog<br />4. Have faith that your followers will rally & show their crafty love back out to those you awarded<br />5. Have fun!<br /><br /></div><div>I had a really hard time finding newer bloggers since most blogs I visit have been around for a while and have a very large following. So I just picked three that I follow and I thought deserved some recognition.<br /></div><div>1. Fabrizio at <a href="http://craftingmad.blogspot.com/">CraftingMad.blogspot.com</a></div><div>2. Kyle at <a href="http://thegreencricut.blogspot.com/">TheGreenCricut.blogspot.com</a></div><div>3. Ginger at <a href="http://memories-by-gn.blogspot.com/">Memories-by-gn.blogspot.com</a></div><div></div><br /><div>Enjoy your awards bloggy friends!</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Now I know Valentine's is over but I wanted to share a pic of the LOVE banner swap we had over at ScrapaholicsQClub. And I wanted to say thanks to all the girls that participated. Everyone did a lovely job. <br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576982937556844578" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIZMi0JwkoXdpHioSrt-v_19PhHDhUrzTFcVRxfmcomyQ1hodkg14tqMmzoGfiTwE2Hrfp744tPeY4t2jn1AVQ-jqnIng-EUxDRfXH6xM4NFkGMcu3UA-BhYZXCa-gKWnxLGsJH2LegRI/s400/CIMG2720.JPG" /><br /><div></div>Next, I wanted to share a couple of layouts I completed that were started at a <a href="http://littlebluehouse.blogspot.com/">Little Blue House </a>Page Builder's session. These were done using a Brenda Pinnick kit I got from QVC a few years ago. But I didn't forget to pop in and wish you a Happy Valentine's Day.<br /><br />Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Are you ready for it? Did you get all the people you love a token? We're not big on Valentine's but I do love all the cute products and ideas that are available for this holiday. So, when I found some great digital art, I decided to make cards out of them.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 422px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 356px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569702977268201602" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMXIzB6aHYGxOfap7luRwRQZaDtZpTHQiJi3C2srW254whhWX3cy7kFFmEyDbELzxaOx6sEE4OqrnAWWMVB5_807YI_p3Kk5RMUfIswSSSvT_cg7JfuEm-ILf5ISLwGs1nx_Rax0IN2CY/s400/CIMG2690.JPG" /><br />Now, I'm not a big digital designer, but sometimes I love the ease of just printing and creating with none of the mess. I just used some glitter, an Anna Griffin border punch, some twine and scalloped scissors and voila! Simple and cute.<br /><br />These adorable digital prints were downloaded from It's a Crafty Life and Eighteen25. Thanks for the great art ladies!<br /><br />Next, a friend and I decided to try our hand at making some milk cartons without the Stamping Up Die. We found a bunch of video tutorials on YouTube and managed to create our own and design our own carrier. Here's my take on them.<br /><br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 343px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569703154632673106" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnTZ34AmdVRvgQWc5tplYSEBq0AYzEoldhu96KWSivz9ff39E5UXO136Tl8uVjBrp_2RgPTEVQnKHlYQ5YTPRM-C1YqUQbqwGUSPfO6fvW1lnvWz2L8FwCsr9TqJkgp2arozRKR3nxQg0/s400/CIMG2717.JPG" /><br /><br />Aren't these precious?! And no die needed! I am going to fill them up with some Valentine yummies for my sweetie. Once I get a chance, I will post a tutorial for these on <a href="http://scrapaholicsqclub.com/">ScrapaholicsQClub</a> in the near future. So keep an eye out for that if you want to make your own for Easter, Mother's Day or whenever. I used Little Yellow Bicycle Paper for this one and a Martha Stewart heart punch.<br /><br />Next, I leave you with a scrap page I just created. Yep, these pictures are from 2003, but hey are you all caught up on your scrapping?<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 346px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569703255676101442" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgu37BVO1BSEr3FVbKaOPKAS3vaGsYJs8Qk4GYWHFkeqy15FAd0uIf-2UmMGWZ0whnspkC9-zk5hY1lH_6tL8ocy4xuDB2CAUg-VU94V-Tbv4AXcFv6p5KyM6Fzxkhbhe7ZHzbbkYpDjMw/s400/CIMG2696.JPG" /><br />Here's a close up of the glitter and foil effects on the paper. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 319px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569703348403401890" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhi8X-BNoj8OUT8oW7PMmYOTWpeD3dJDu7fbt-YUqPZ_JUFn1qRe_HEm3QeQllr_tGCZ6QyHWS7Hnb8f0zjXHmBX1Re-XZ7LDgJ4tMWeONDnxdgfdINUrs1TesVT1TsN2QcJ6i4IzMkRBM/s400/2011+-+Blog+Pics.jpg" /><br />The paper was DCWV autumn stack and the die cuts were purchased at Michaels. I've had them for a couple of years now so I don't remember what company made them. I created the collage on my computer with Foto Fusion. I love their collage program; it's super simple and quick to make great collages. I purchased their program about 5 years ago and I still love it.<br /><br /><br />Well, that's all I have for you today. Stay tuned next time when I show you how to weave a basket out of corn husks... HA! Soooo, not happening.<br /><br />Stop by SQC and say hello sometime!<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT: 0px" border="0" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/85783/ryocg/1e04ea9683820975e42c4098b0377e63.png" /></a>Cathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07114851903223520677noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4512592363973381218.post-73259890468886173532010-11-09T14:08:00.005-06:002010-11-09T14:24:44.563-06:00The Little Blue House - Scrapstashers AnonymousI'm so excited to share my latest discovery. This wonderful little paper studio opened up right down the street from where I live and they have the most amazing classes! It's called <a href="http://thelittlebluehouseblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/welcome-to-little-blue-house-blog.html">The Little Blue House</a>.<br /><br />Yesterday I took my first class with them. It's called Scrapstashers Anonymous. Each month they show you a project you can make with your scraps. And what's totally fun is you don't know what you are making until you get there!<br /><br />Anyway, it was a blast and the time went by too quickly. Once I got home I added the finishing touches and voila! I have this awesome wall art for December. So here's a look at what I made.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 321px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537646527457136722" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGNy1yg5JeEsKZSrmNzVaCxgdYkWhWYWD0gK7Cl3eQF0i2j41TMs9QbfMk8yhjgNXUmhJFWHQXqmc2Fo88KU-l1G2mDV0FcribzhD4QhJHO4-rNLuIxNjxeqesLgKyOHpXObxOu5HWTYk/s400/CIMG2585.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 212px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537645446360336706" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjW9lKwGR-40SW6BaKcvymWT2jGDaotp6-f1ScEJCtuOIjTDzcLXmqZGanzjYkNwXtGee7Nh9quD8Q4A6nRTZgPjYoGehk9PedPnuoZkSWlkeHh2pzb3qMKLlWB9WL33y6DKUBlVTqQEn8/s320/2010+-+Blog+Pics26.jpg" />Mine came out a lot busier than some of my classmates (which were <em>gorgeous,</em> by the way) but I love it! I couldn't help add more and more and now I just love to stare at it all.<br /><br />This was so much fun we signed up for the next's month's class. You have to check it out if you are in the area.Cathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07114851903223520677noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4512592363973381218.post-30727554238488133132010-10-29T13:34:00.003-05:002010-10-29T13:38:37.285-05:00Oops almost forgot!In case you haven't heard. I wanted to stop in and share a couple of cards I made for Halloween this year. <img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5533529120562916466" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_kiAkbcbdPzIw3cGS9R1eewnNGZNKD-z6RjIyc2wDkSFL6R5mpFlfJNsWe4VWv18jXvCnnXTJFAy3aaOsLifaj6MxGub-23bJ2h4rf0n-8Xox_Li9uRxiQn9AOD1W4MYvwC6ao2bQuIc/s320/CIMG2510.JPG" style="cursor: hand; display: block; height: 320px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 270px;" /><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5533528887929868882" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUzxr4PDIei65tc59zIo4C7K1hv4MT17hyDLekaEfN8C1JEG0aHX2UAuxtHIAmBN15nqjt8mbj4pARhhp33jzliULzEihjLoBB2aEPObqQzb1hjDj1s01z1FO3-3hf6_wRb79iqcdOlo8/s320/CIMG2544.JPG" style="cursor: hand; display: block; height: 320px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 233px;" /> <br />
<div>Even though I don't have children to share in the Halloween fun, I still love to play with the fun images of the holiday. And so, I also made a little treat bag with my Cricut for a friend's daughter. I think it came out pretty cute and it took less than 1/2 hour to cut and put together.</div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">Here's the front.</div><div><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5533531236765025602" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9_p0r4n0yb6QLfpbxqEwIZXbgjuO1Z00UVyHFYVrodRHL9ytn4_htuUlcDGsg74DvTlBjQ0iXjg2tL8qvjQTnk2rdBhleHxvkPDLw2XEzA_VOhAuNFCSLlK4EFIHCFRULRlkkcQKEPaE/s320/CIMG2577.JPG" style="cursor: hand; display: block; height: 264px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 320px;" /></div><div align="center">And this is the back.</div><div><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5533531128428290738" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmDf6l6q2CN4cmbw2u5VlvK3OiisL62sFQTnFBFGCqXxhiT03aq0ZQfndesE5KLln-4TuJNUXZ-7Ffi0EgikhlHMu7d_tWGpl0DUiaI4Dq0t1Of5iugcshMaQglesCWQDLgpRh6goKnQg/s320/CIMG2582.JPG" style="cursor: hand; display: block; height: 300px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 320px;" /></div><div>For some reason this year it seemed like a long Halloween season. I don't know why, maybe because I started decorating for fall and creating Halloween projects in mid September. Then I volunteered for our neighborhood's Fall festival earlier this month or maybe it's because I read about so many other bloggers who've been preparing for the holiday also. Nonetheless, I've had fun and am now turning my sights to Christmas. </div><div></div><div><br />
<br />
</div><div>For November, we are having a fun handmade Christmas ornament contest/challenge at <a href="http://scrapaholicsqclub.com/">ScrapaholicsQClub</a>. There is still time to join us if you'd like and you only need to make one handmade ornament for this simple challenge.</div><div></div><div></div><div><br />
<br />
I'll try to stop in again soon and share some Christmas projects.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div><br />
